Mapping pangolin trafficking

from Africa to Asia

Pangolins are the most trafficked mammals in the world. I'm part of a team at UCLA's Center for Tropical Research that's uncovering where African pangolins are poached and the routes they take to market. I'm using the latest genomics methods and working with researchers across Central Africa, the US, and Hong Kong to develop forensic tests to determine where poached pangolins originated in Africa.
